Have you tried over clocking, I haven't heard of that you cannot over clock them after a certain period they had changed them not to.
However for the main part it's kind of hard to tell when exactly it was produced, however if that is true then likely the steppings of the processor may help you with finding out, use CPUID, However one easy way to tell if over clocking is possible or not since you obviously have the computer for it is to just go ahead and try it, you should be able to reguardless, unless this apply's to unlocking the processor which is differen't on that processor.
So just go ahead and try oc'ing and if you do so then good for you, if it fails, try upping the voltage and doing it in incremements and running a stress test or burn in to make sure your system is stable and continue like that

You should be able to up your fsb to 200 with that setup without any problems. You are running enough case fans as long as your room temp is decent you shouldn't have to worry about overheating. You may have to up the voltage a little to get a stable overclock. I think most people are running the 2500+ @ 2.2 (3200+) @1.75v

Good Luck

ok, thx for the answer! i havent tried yet, coz there seemed to be something wrong with either the cpu, motherboard or the memory, so im awaiting the new parts any day now... how far do you think i can o.c this machine?

and btw, its pretty cold here, i live in norway, so room temp, seldom rises above 20-22 degreece

Well from that and with your specs, you could honestly expect up to maybe 3600+ around the max since you have high quality memory for oc'ing and the rest of the system to match plus a cool enough room so it should go very far.

Good God thats cold. Do you type with electric heated gloves on? I have lived in North Dakota and it was that cold outside...but we had heaters to heat our homes.

20°C = 68°F
22°C = ~72°F
What's so cold about that? I though North Dakotans were made of sterner stuff
