Purple PS2 CD's?

I just bought the original Midnight Club for PS2 on eBay, still sealed. The bottom of the disc is purple, I've never seen that. Is this normal for older games? Thanks!

IT'S A VIRUS!!! DUCK AND RUN!!!

Seriously, that is normal. I have seen playstation and playstation 2 disks either being a purple, or a dark black. I think the dark black color is for the original playstation disks, and the purple is for playstation 2 disks.

no problem. my advice ain't cheap. $5.00 for each word. I accept paypal. my address is: yeahright@rakeitin.com

Glad to help

I'm not sure if the Playstation one discs (the smaller redesigned version of the first playstation) are a different color. Maybe they are the same as the first playstation's disk?

I think they just use different colors to be kooky. I don't have any black or purple PS2 games... They're all silver.

The blue or purple bottom discs are CD format, and the silver bottom disks are DVD format

That would explain the lamer graphics.. just a tip for everyone- when you search for PS2 and XXXXX game title 2, it pulls up the original, as "2" is in "PS2". I wanted Midnight Club 2.. clicked too fast on the low buy it now button.
