Outdoors New ATI catylist drivers IMO "BAD"

I installed the new ATI catylist drivers, think it's 4.1...uuuugh

terrible problems...I kept having lock ups in games etc.
So i uninstalled drivers and installed the ATI Technologies Inc. (Omega 2.5.04) drivers 3.10...runs great now...don't know what the problem is with the new drivers from ATI but didn't work for me...going to stick with these for now..just thought I would post this...

It must be the way one tweak somewhere does something, I've never gotten game 1 to work right with any 3rd party driver. Cat 4.1's here on a retail 9800pro running fine, I dont vary games alot though...

also XP-SP1 here, which I think these drivers require?

Cat4.1 is essentially Cat3.10 with a few minor code fixes for improved game compatibility.

You could be like me, I am stuck at Cat3.2 due to a strange compatibility problem with an application I am testing.

but then again, y update drivers unless there is a good performance gain or the driver fixes errors that keep occuring for ya? ive had too many bad experiences with any driver update, so i am stickin with what works and has been out for a while
