Video card ID help please

OK I picked up this card today. It has a Cirrus Logic chipset CL-GD5446V-HC-A on it,and the the only number on the board itself is VP5446TV-4M rev.A
I have a pic attached.I can find no info on this thing anywhere. It does have TV out,but is it also a TV Tuner card?I'm not good with these things.
It has what appears to be 3.5mm plug/Cable Connection/Composite RCA/3.5mm Plug/VGA connector on the header of it.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks

Hmm...seems to me it's a Cirrus Logic 2mb...still gathering links.
This should be the driver: http://www.video-drivers.com/drivers/10/10962.htm

It 100% for sure has a tuner. Its got a RF (antenna) jack AND a large metal tuner box behind it. The one with the Samoo system co`ltd sticker and says NTSC which is the tv format for the US. 29.97frames a second.

I couldn't even find a link.Google must hate me today

I thought that was the tuner Xtreeme.Like I said I'm not really good with Vid cards.

So do I need a special driver for the tuner,or just the basic CL5446 drivers??And of course the tuner program.

It looks like a PCI TV-Tuner/Capture card.

From Googling, Samoo is a S. Korean company. Not sure if they just made the tuner or the whole card. It also looks like it might be from a Compaq PC. There's also reference to it being a FireGL 4000 and it might be 1MB-32MB.

Have you tried installing it to see what comes up? Do you have any cables for it? You might be missing the appropriate cables to use it properly.

By the way all info on it can be found with the magic #'s. THe FCC #'s that is. Go to fcc site and run them. It will give patent date-manufacturing co where it was to be sold all that stuff! I do it all the time with unknown hardware. Works great. I see 4m Rev. or somthing on it. Its prolly a 4 meg card. IT has to be. THe model is vp5446tv-4m. VP 5446 being card model TV (tv tuner bundled) and 4m (4 mb ram).

Thissen?

CL-GD5446 ("VisualMedia", 64bit, 5436 with video/PowerPC/VPort support) Seems to support mac mons too. LOL. PowerPc I have one. If thats the card its really a "ALPINE" video card. And Samoo made the bios (labled) and the tuner (labled also).

It "should" fire right up in XP with full driver support. BUT the tuner drivers may or maynot install on their own, it depends. Thats not all though. Once drivers installed you need a capture program that will show tv and also capture it. So you will need to find which capture program supports that tuner. FreeVCR I think is one of the free ones. Check www.vcdhelp.com thats where I foudn that free one anyhow. It has a large area of harware support and seemed to work GREAT compaired to even my ati one. Gonna have to look that one up again-hold on.

heh its in that mess somwhere. Dig through it'll learn ya what you need to know to capture anyhow. Good reading for folks just starting out capturing video.

OK I have the ting installed, and it says in device manager that it's working correctly,XP installed driver.
8bit color and 640x480 display is all I can get from it,and I can't find a better driver for it.

Martoch your driver doesn't work either.I have tried several with no joy.

Thanks for looking
