I gotta few questions, I have the game NFSU, and I would think that I would be able to play this game with better graphics than medium, but I guess I'm wrong unless someone can help. My current vide card is a gforce 4 ti 4200 with 128megs of ddr with the latest "forceware" drivers. I have 640mb rdram and a 1.4ghz processor, But when I turn up the grpahics to high it seems like its laggy or maybe its just me, anyone have any ideas or a similar system to compare, Would OCING vide card help? and Yes I know my processor is aging and I plan on upgrading soon, but anywayz any ideas?

I have nearly the same system (512 MB DDR, 1.8 GHZ Processor) and i run it on medium too, it's the graphics card mate.

Im not sure what "forceware" drivers are, but try this driver for your video card

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_45.23.html

It is better suited for the non-directx9 cards. I have the same exact card running that driver and i have no problems with the game. Roll back and see what happens.

Overclocking isnt a bad idea either, i have mine overclocked to 290/550. If i go too much over that i see graphical glitches, but some can get it even higher around the 300/600 range. I suggest using coolbits. It is a registry file, just google for it. Bring it up a few mhz at a time, and once you have it to a level that satisfys you, burn it in with a program like 3dmark2003, run it twice or so to throttle the card up.

ahhh...well either way, the older drivers do a much better job on the ti series. My scores on 3dmark2k1 dropped about a 500 - 1,000 when i went to the 5x.xx

Problem is that newer games as they come out especially if they are dx9 games will require the new forceware drivers to run correctly. And example of this is the Far Cry demo and when Unreal 2 first came out it required the latest drivers to work as well.
