if you have a win98, winxp, win2k cd you can insert the cd and boot to it and it will allow you to format and reload the computer from there

what os are you planning to load?

Are you sure it's the blaster virus? Just wondering what you've done to verify that it is msblast...
The blaster virus is actually quite easy to get rid of...you're probably running into a problem (assuming it IS the blaster virus) because you're trying to get rid of it without killing the running process first (ctrl+alt+del, end task "msblast").
The link GZ3 provided you with for the removal tool is an excellent way to remove the bug, as it takes care of registry entries and information written to prefetch as well...

I was told by her broadband supplier it was the blaster worm.
If it isn't, would a clean install help solve her problems as there is definately something wrong.???
