Kids Best Performance Settings?

Wasn't sure where to post this exactly, but here are my specs. I was hoping someone would know the BEST settings for this.

Biostar M7NCD mobo
AthlonXp 2500+ (Barton?)
512MB Kingston HyperX PC3200
Western Digital 30gb 7200rpm (For OS which is WinXpPro)
Maxtor 60gb (For storage)
400Watt PS

My CPU is currently running at a measley 1.4Ghz. I'd like to get it to at LEAST 2.0Ghz. BIOS has Many tweaking options but I'm not too sure what to tweak. Thanks for the Help

u should at least get that CPU to stock speeds(yes, its a barton, all 2500+'s are, and they run at 1.8ghz), which is 166fsb x 11 multiplier, if you want to go a bit further, crank the fsb to 200, but you *MIGHT* need more cooling

I had a problem with my Athlon XP 1700 only running at 1.0G, very siliar to your problem. I changed the ram frequancy in bios and on boot up in told me it was running right, but the computer would freeze up after about 5 secconds ( sometimes less, was a pain to get into the BIOS again and change settings ) . .

After changing around and troubleshooting what I felt was everything, I had a stick of 512 SDRAM and a stick of 256 . .

well pulling out one of the sticks solved the problem . .

It wasnt a bad stick of ram, becuase either or would work, and it wasnt the slot, becuase once again, either stick in either slot would work . .

I dont know if the MB didnt like having to different sized chips, or if it just didnt like 2 sticks of SDRAM or what. I upgraded that computer and got 2 sticks of 512 DDR, and it worked.

Hope this helps.

I've noted and stored your input, but that doesn't answer my question. Sorry. Any other takers?
