Outdoors I bet u guys havent been asked this question... PLZ HELP THOUGH!

Hiya,

i am in desperate need of help. i have 1gb of generic ram, 2600+ athalon xp, 2 60gb western digital harddrives, a 550 watt psu, ti4600 nvidia, and a generic cdrom and a burner.

painted my monitor, so i had my other one hooked up, go back to hook up the normal one, get to the logon for xp, select shutdown because i was moving my case and stuff. next time i boot up it hangs on bios, then it never even POSTs after that. i am left with a black screen. i have reset jumpers, tried an mx440 instead of my graphics card, left only 1 stick of ram, unconnected all unnessecary things. fans spin, tried the monitor i had hooked up temporarly again, tried plugin the psu into the wall outlet instead of power strip.... ahh man i got school tomorow and i cant sleep till this is done!!!!

PLZ HELP ME!

Ouch.

Hmm...The motherboard could be shorting out somewhere. Are you sure it's fitted ok?

Welcome to TECHIMO!

sorry about that. it could be that the motherboard is going nuts... have you tried another PSU?

Remove everything not needed to boot the system and then try it again.

Ram+cpu+motherboard+VGA is all you need

Is it beeping ?
