hope this is the right forum....what is a good free firewall? i will not use zone alarm ever again. it has failed me twice now.

Sygate Personal Firewall is the free one I use. Pretty good compared to ZA.

Oh, and this should be in Security forum. I'll ask a mod to move it, if I can find one.

how did it fail you???

i've used ZA for some time now and it is one of the firewalls that i've reccomended to others when asked...

I would have to agree with PJ... ZA has never failed me.

Yes ZA is very good. Used to have Norton personal firewall (in NIS) and it was hard to configure it the way I needed. ZA is easy to finetune.

Perhaps you could post the problems you are having with ZA and we can help you fix them?
