My new comp...

Hey I am getting this comp....need advice on GC though

2500xp
A7N8X-DX
2x 512mb Corsair PC3200 oc'd to 612mhz each
48x24x48 CDRW
16x DVD
FX5200
120gb sata
40gb sata
19" Monitor
Floppy
Lian Case

I am actually buying this from a good computer friend of mine...I don't want the FX5200 though so I am getting a different card...would u guys recommend the Ti4200 for a good card? I want a 9800Pro but I'm kinda on a tight budget... If anybody is looking for a FX5200 PM and I will see what we can work out...BTW I am getting that comp for $650!

Not bad for the $ but the 400mhz to 612mhz Corsair will be a new record.

If you game quite a fair bit then a new GC would be recommended, otherwise I would say just keep the FX5200. It is sufficient enough for casual gaming imo, but if you indeed want a better GC then I would recommend either the Radeon 9600XT or an GeFX-5700 Ultra card.

Def get a Ti4200 instead of the FX5200, it'll be way better for gaming. Get one with at least 128Mb DDR.

If you don't want to spend much a Ti 4200 for sure ($75). For a high-end, yet cheap card, look for the 128MB BFG Asylum GfFX 5900 which comes with free Call of Duty ($169).

yeah a ti 4200 is definatley better than a fx5200 but i dont think its worth upgrading to

it depends on your budget some good midrange cards are all of the 9600 series or the fx5700 and 5700U or for a little higher even the fx5900xt

If you got the FX 5900 you'd be set for awhile and at a great price.

If you have $200, I love my 9700pro, it is a very nice card. But if you are willing to overclock the 5900nu can be another good card.
