a new comp.build xp pro
p4
corsair p3200
ati radeon 9600
intel i865 perl my ?is in windows how do i know if power saving mode is enabled or diabled,and how do i enable the wake up via mouse or keyboard is a jumper of some kind on the m/b or is it a bios setting that need to be enabled. problem i'm having is everything works fine till i leave it idle for 10 min. then the monitor goes blank not a total shut down just a light gray color like it's a sleep or something the fans continue to run??? i have to hit reset button to re start then it reboots to the xp screen and it ok till it idles for 10 min. sorry about the long post any help would be appreciated merv

Try going to Control Panel > Display > Screen Saver > Power. In there you can change your power schemes such as turning off your monitor, systme standby and hibernate settings.

thanks i tried that n.g it comes up with a screen that says power policy manager unable to set policy indicates two revision levels are incompatible whatever that means
