Do they "REALLY" work... NO.
Are they "REALLY" cool to look at ..... some say "YES", esp. the Gold.

There meant to spread the heat evenly across. Has my ram ever felt hot enough to even worry about it? No. Even my 333 @ 400 doesn't get hot.

Actually, my friend has heat spreaders on his RAM, he bought them seperately from his RAM chips, unlike the stuff you get on Corsair etc. It lowered his temp's 2* - 3*, It might have been something else though.

They are very nice to look at though, but it's all a matter of opinion .
