URGENT HELP PLEASE!!!
Ok Guys, my dad is working on an old p3 700mhz. The hard drive went, so he went out to futureshop, they had a great deal on 80gb hd's, so we got one, we installed everything on it, Windows 98, but it shows as only having 13.3 gb??!?!?
We tried reformatting, made sure there were no partisions, but still, only 13.3gb, please help me because we need to get that other cpu working, thanks!!!!
this is frusterating because we know that the CPU works, jut that for some reason, an 80gb HDD shows up as 13.3gb
thanks all!

When you installed the new drive, did you go into the BIOS and make sure it recognized it? It sounds like you have it manually set from the old HDD. There should be an option of "Auto Detect" so that it will recognize the full size.
What brand/model mobo is it?

after it auto detects, should i reload 98 again?

are you saving the bios when you leave it ? or exiting without saving ? if you are exiting without saving it might be saving the old info but reading it right when you look at it .
