Can I Update Windows XP Pro?

I have come across a not so "legit" copy of Windows XP Pro. It is functioning, and works out well on my other systems not connected to the internet. If i install it on a system connected to the internet, and attempt to update it...will i have the federalies knocking on my door?

if it has a blacklisted serial, then no (no updates, not the fuzz), you will know if you try to get sp1

if it has sp1, then yes (yes updates, not the fuzz)

i dont know about other updates, they may still work, i just know sp1 wont, they may have fixed their others too

service pack one is already on the on the CD.....so i should be ok then????

if you have the sp installed, and it went fine, then all other updates will work fine
