how u take screen shots of a dvd movie

? how do i.. i press print screen and open photoshop and its like i got a dvd player in my photoshop..

The problem I think is what you are capturing is the "Windows" output instead of the DirectX or DVD output.

Two different things entirely.

How to do it .............. I don't know.

I could be wrong.

use the screenshot function built into your dvd player program. TADA!!

If you're using PowerDVD, it will capture a frame of the DVD and save it to your clipboard.

Just click on the camera icon in the control panel while you have the DVD paused at the frame that you want. Then open any photo program that you have and click Edit>Paste.

uhh,, hmm guess i gotta get powerdvd then, cause im using intervideo win dvd 4

EDIT:no wait i found out that i can do it here to, just pause, rightclick and hit bookmark/capture then capture and then open the picture captured either save it or press print screen to do it faster and thats that

the picture looks bad cause i saved it as gif and resized from 1280 but it looks great

well i got powerdvd with my drive, and xine under linux is VERY similar to powerdvd as far as controls go and they just have the little stills camera icon. never used win dvd before, but i guess most software players have a screenshot somewhere.
