uninstalling IE6

promlem here guys help please
ended up with a dand toolbar that i can't locate or uninstall eh and i am trying to just simply uninstall IE6 and there is no uninstaller when i run it from the add/remove not go even with an outboard proggy.
the tool bar is hotbar search it won't allow me to set my own page nothing abd a load of popups with it? please help want to uninstall ie 6 clear everything and reinstall

just bite the bullet and reinstall win98 again...only way to guarantee you won't have any problems...

from what i have heard..... u cant uninstall IE because it is embedded into windows...... only way to get rid of it is to find where it is in the windows folder and delete it file be file..

i would suggest you install adware or spybot see if it can get rid of the hotbar

That hotbar or whatever its called is spyware. You will have to use an anti spyware program such as Ad-Aware . Spybot is another great program against this. I dont know how it works in Windows 98, but its usually almost impossible do delete Internet Explorer, since its so integrated to the OS itself it would only cause problems. And reinstalling the OS is the best thing to do if you have a major issue you cant solve, or else try to solve the problem. HTH's
