PC not booting up properly

PC not booting up properly
I have a SV266A motherboard. Now, the paper work and everything says that an AMD Duron processor will work with this board. Is it possible that it will not? I'm using Win98SE and I have an AMD Duron 1300 MHz processor. I'm using an Ati Radeon video card(8500 Le 64 Mb card). Also, kingston 256 133 memory. Lastly, all this is in an Asus case with a 350 watt power supply. I'm pretty sure that I hooked everything up to the board properly but when I power up the pc i don't get anything on the screen. Is there anything that I could be doing wrong? I would really like to use this board because of its features but I can't seem to get it to function properly. What should I do?

What does 'PC not booting up properly' mean ? Does the CPU fan spin up ? Do the lights on the keyboard cycle ? Do you hear the single POST beep or do you get multiple beeps (a POST error ?) Does the floppy light stay lit for more than a five-to-ten secs ? Does the system power down immediately after power up ?

When I've had probs assembling a system, I would only plug in the CPU, RAM, and front panel jumpers, to limit the possible things that could be wrong.

Can't tell much from your post. Later....Jet
