Challenge: Fix this photo

Can any of you Photoshoppers remove the thumb from this photo and have it look believable? Not an easy task, but fun. I've already tried my hand at it, I want to see how other people might address the same problem. I'll post mine here soon.

First I simply removed the thumb from the picture. Then, using advanced techniques I was able to reconstruct the missing parts of the little child, both those above and below the water. I fixed the mark under the right eye with a simple copy and paste.

Normally I would charge for a professional job such as this but here it is for free.

yeah it looks really cool the way you did it f1oored.... i have to re-install my Jasc PaintShop Pro 8... just finished reformating my dumb computer...

So. I will give it a shot too. I'm pretty good about fixing up pictures. its just creating logo's i suck at! LOL

Will post it up... but if i could make a comment on your photo...

it looks like you used a mirrored image effect... just curious of how you did it. doesn't look really that clean, but totally is still cool!!!

You do some awesome work!

Will post my pic in a day or so... once all my programs are up and running!

Yeah that mirrored effect is what I like to call the "reflecto-maneuver" I use paintbrush 9.0 in most of my picture modifications. Lot's of copy and paste and every once in a while I use a flip/rotate to liven things up a little.

You would charge for that? Are you serious?

I wouldn't charge a friend. You seem like a pretty good guy so if you want me to do some more work for you... I guess I could give you a discount

Not "trying" to say anything. I am saying, judging by the picture in your post above, you are not a graphic artist. Or maybe you are and you're just kidding around. I dunno. You are the one sending mixed signals here, not me.
