Another ATI 9800 AIW ???

Yes it's me again.

Another question.

I was playing around with the record button and recorded about 15 minutes worth.

When I was finished, I looked at the new file and was appalled to learn that in took up 924MB. Is it supposed to take up that much space? If so, when I transfer to a DVD will in condense? How do I convert it into a smaller file?

Thanks,
Gary

Yes that's about right. Recording takes up a lot of space.

Here's a link to help you with dvd recording.

924mb for 15 minutes is really high, even more than dvd quality (I think dvd quality is like 6000kbps mpeg-II), and what you just gave works out to around 8400kbps. Are you trying to record for dvd purposes or simply to have it on your computer? If the later, I woud suggest saving your moving in a compressed AVI format such as Divx
