windows xp home, IE v.6, 128 bit, cable connection through wireless linksys g router. connected directly to router. i cant access any secure sites. i changed my privacy and security settings to default in IE. ssl 2.0 and 3.0 are checked. disconnected router and connected directly to cable modem, disabled antivirus and still no luck.

it seemed to happen around when i intalled kodak software for my digital camera, so i uninstalled it but still no luck,did system restore and was ok for a little, installed software again and it was still working when i first tried it, but then a little later it seemed for no reason i cant get to any secure sites. im assuming the timing with kodak softare is just coincidence. help please i dont know what else to try.

nope, i had one with my antivirus and built into my router, but i tried disabling my antivirus and connecting directly to my pc without the router and still no luck...im stuck. seems like most of the people here are too. i might try another system restore but it didnt really seem to help before. i dont know what else to try.

all i can sergest is reinstalling windows...........OH have you disabeld the Built in Windows Firewall?
