Soundblaster dropping sound
Hi all
Firstly, system specs:
Athlon XP2200+ (Retail fan/heatsink)
Asus A7V8X-X
Q-Tec 500W PSU
Crucial 512MB PC2700 DDR Ram
Maxtor 120GB 7200RPM ATA133 Hard Drive
Sapphire Radeon 9100 128MB Graphics
On-Board LAN
Soundblaster Live Player 5.1 Sound
LG DVD/CDRW
Samsung CDROM
Windows XP Pro SP1
Creative DTT2200 Speakers
PowerDVD Oem
I like to listen to my movies in 5.1 but i find that sometimes it can be distracting on my PC when there are small gaps in the sound (at seemingly random times). I have enabled 5.1 decoding in the drivers of the SB and set PowerDVD to spdif out (as per creative instructions).
All is fine when i dont have the decoding enabled (i.e listening to it in 4 speaker mode) but i would like to use my set-up to its fullest!
Anybody got any ideas?
