hmm, flat display acting..dumb?

ok, i have a samsung syncmaster 191, its a flat screen. it really feels different from my old CRT, but i heard from so many that flat screens are better. well, this thing feels like something is slowing the refresh rate down, but i was told flat screens dont have "refresh rates". i can set it up to 75, but it still feels like its slower. like in all of my games, it looks like motion blur is on no fun. so,

A. this is the way flat screens are
B. theres something wrong with my monitor
C. what i have isnt really a flat screen

or something else? thx

oh, i have tried contrast settings, etc... with no luck

In my experience, the answer would be A unfortunately. I have used a dozen or so different models and I think the samsung was one of the better ones too. Some of the generic ones do it really bad. I think it has to do with the pixel response time. I'm not ready to switch out my CRTs yet for just this reason.

Its all about pixel response time. If it isnt 16ms, you may see ghosting and blurriness.
