New setup for MSN Messenger 6.0

In our company we have MSN Messenger 6.0 setup with our business email addresses. We have a new employee that needs to be setup but I am having difficulty getting her started. I try to enter her personal information but it only gives me the option of using a "hotmail" address but we don't need that. Can you get me started in the right direction on what to do?

Thanks,
Jay

You have to create a .Net account with Microsoft to use MSN or Windows Messenger. If you have a MSN or Hotmail account you can opt to use that or you can register you existing email address to obtain a .Net "Passport" or as a last resort you can use the setup wizard to create a new MSN/Hotmail account to obtain the .Net Passport.

MSN Messenger 6.0

If I go into the setup where it gives me the opportunity to enter a new hotmail address, how would I opt out of that and make it my own email address that is not hotmail?

Send a message via Yahoo to crystaldragon
There should be a button to "sign up" click there and it will go to msn you should be able to set up a .net accout in whatever way you need from there.
The .net accounts are maintained at msn and have to be created there.
