i could use a little help

i want to get a decent printer for printing digital photos. im not a photo pro, but i want my pics to look good when i print them out. i dont want to spend too much but at the same time i dont want a piece of junk printer. what should i look for when looking for a printer. is it better to just get a printer rather then a 3 in 1 type thing. any tips or suggestions? thanks

Check out the Canon printers. I switched to them after years with HP printers. I got the Canon i475D for Christmas, and I'm really impressed. I wanted a lot of the same things you mentioned, and the i475D delivered. It also has the ability to print photos directly from certain cameras, using smartcards. You also don't need a special photo cartridge to print photos. The Canon cartridges are very reasonably priced, and won't put you in the poorhouse. It's not a top-of-the-line photo printer, but it's perfect for most users and does a really decent job printing photos. It does an excellent job with text and color graphics. It fits your price, and if you look around, you can get it for around $100.

I've got an Hewlett Packard HP Deskjet 5550 and for the money ($100.00), it's the best printer I've had out of many, including (Cannon, Epson, and Lexmark). It does not use a gravity feed, as many pinters do. The paper is lifted into place, reducing paper jams.

Great buy!
