bios annoyance

right now i have the latest bios installed A7N8X Deluxe BIOS C1007

i disabled the speech reporter but when i turn on the machine it tells me my cpu has failed self, then goes on to tell me now booting to operating system then tells me cpu failed self test even as i type this. Anyone else having a problem with this I would appericate it! Im not overclocking or anything

1 gig of Samsung ram pc 2700



just noticed that when i turn on the computer and the bios is loading up it usually tells me what cpu i have installed, now its not so i set it manually it showed up as xp 2600+ but contiuned to say no cpu installed

It must be the BIOS try reflashing with all the switches, I'm not sure about Asus but Abit has switches i.e. A:\awardflash be7_cg.bin /cc /cd /py /sn /cks /r_ :-)
