Uninstalling IE 5.0

I am having a terrible time with kernnel erros in IE5 on my sons computer.As soon as I click the icon,it gives me the error,and nothing else happens.
I was going to uninstall,and choose repair,but it doesn't have that option.
No way to uninstall IE that I can find anywhere.No Uninstall icon in the IE folder or anything.
So I installed it from a CD I got with a modem,and same error keeps popping up.
Is there a way to uninstall IE without the uninstaller?
Navigator works fine,and I told him to D/L Opera,but he still wants IE to work,and I don't wanna reload windows.I thought an install from CD might fix it,but no joy

Any Suggestions?
Thanks BC

Running windows ME

=============================================

IEradicator

Removes all versions of Internet Explorer from all versions of
Windows 9x in 8 different languages!
IEradicator is still FREEWARE!

You could download ( or get off an old computor magazine cd ) 5.1sp2 which has the repair feature .
