Dual boot to same partition or not?
I was running my kid's machine with dual Win98/2000 OS's in the same partition. We just got a new drive and are installing clean to it. As before, I'd like to dual boot.
I've been told that it's better to create separate partitions for each system due to something about the two Window's gettting confused about different versions (win98 or 2000) of applications installed to the same drive letter, or something like that.
Is this true? If so, can I just use Partition Magic to create a new partition; then copy the Win2000 disk to it and run the install? I want to make sure it offers the opportunity to "Not Upgrade" so '98 will come up as a boot option.
