One of my Computer's can't get out (per say)

For some reason...which I can't find out, my main computer cannot get on the internet. I have a D-Link 614+ wireless router which it(my main computer) is hooked up to (wired) and my old computer is hooked up wirelessly. Here is what I have figured out so far.

I can ping the router from my main computer, but I can't ping my other computer or any websites ect.
I can ping my main computer from my old one, which the internet is working on.

So what I think is, that the router is blocking my main computer. The thing is I havn't changed any settings on the router. (not before it stopped working anyway) I've checked the router and I can't find how or why it is blocking all outward connections. Is there anything I am missing? Am I right about it being a router problem? Could it be a software thing(I've checked my firewall)?

Also BTW, I've tried hooking it up strait to the cable modem bu that didn't help so....It probably isn't the firewall... I'm going to try some more stuff. Please respond if you can think of anything. Thanks.

This is just a guess, but could you maybe have a crossover cable, instead of a patch cable?

Crossover cables are just to hook up two computers to each other for file transfer, patch cables for Lan and Wan networking.

Also, I have a mandrake partition, and that to cannot get to the internet so I dowbt it is software. I think it is either a router problem (and i didn't setup the connection to the modem right that time) or could it be my mobo bios blocking outward connections? (doubt it)

The big thing is that my dad was the one who...broke it. Even though he won't admit to it, and he doesn't have the router or the modo's password. All he says is "I came down stairs and the computer wouldn't go online".

edit:
In reply to DallasDon, no I just checked. But do you do use a crossover when connecting directly to the modem?

Send a message via ICQ to washe
well my dad's havent accepted that he screwed up our system some years ago....... "I only clicked shutdown" ......

Well for your problem... check that wired and wireless are enabled on the router, and check that its not blocking your computer MAC'S address...

Are you using DHCP?

have you tried unplugging the Dlink router to reset it?

Ok, I guess I accidently lied. Mandrake did get on the internet. (after a swift kick on the side of the case). And I've tracked it down to be my gay ass McAfree(however you spell that) firewall. It is blocking every outgoing connection. I figured this out by looking at it's log. lol, every 5 seconds, "Blocked Outgoing Connection to 12.345.234.12:80" is do you know of how to change this. It is set to filter, not block all. (some specific file are set to block all and some to allow all but..) thanks.
