File transfer

I am trying, without success, to transfer and open a Quicken file from one computer on my network to the other. I can make the transfer OK but when I want to open it I get "Program QDF file is not a valid Win 32 application". Can anyone help me do this

What are the properties of the file that was transferred?

Have you tried to open it by right click - open with - Quicken?
It sounds like Windows tried to open it with something else.

Quicken files can usually only be opened by Quicken
