Well it depends who you are a fan of, how much money you want to spend and what you like the sound of better.
So the best thing to do is to go down to a store and try and give them both a listen and then decide.
But because I personally own and like Klipsch speakers, I'd take the Klipsch. |

The Logitech 2.1 speakers have never been up to snuff. Even Logitech fans admit it. Unless they've redesigned them recently, I wouldn't go near them.

Out is right...the non-GMX promedia's are superior.
i have not heard the z2200 but if they're anything like the previous 2.1s from logitech, i don't think they're quite as good as the klipsch's.
just MO....

Hey thanks a ton. I checked out the non-GMX and they will do great. I didn't like the "futuristic" look of the GMX's anyway,...I just want great sound.

PM2.1's. NOT the GMX A-2.1. They're still working out the kinks on those.

I've never used one of those mensioned above, but I have one that I really recommend. The Creative Inspire 2.1 Speakers. I use them myself and I must say they are the best I have used so far. I have had Logitech speakers, and my brother has some very modern, but they always have problems and the sound quality is not as great as mine. An incredible bass sound comes with this package. But if it were to choose from those above I would easilly pick the Klipsch. They have excellent scores in testes from what I have seen.

I think you guys are comparing apples to diamonds. List on the Z-2200s is like $50 vs. the Klipsch 2.1, which is like $120(?)
I've used the Z-340's that I picked up for $25, and for a 2.1 for that price, the sound is exceptional. When I try to drive them next to my Promedia 4.1s, yes I'm disappointed, until I realize the Klipsch cost ten times what I paid for the Z-340s.
So somehow, it's all relative to price/performance. But when I build a budget system for someone, I do not hesitate to add a set of Logitech Z-340s. For the average PC user, it's usually a step up.

I ogt my dad these speakers for Christmas, the Cambridge Soundworks "PCWorks" system. It's quite good for the price. The build quality is exceptional and the sound is quite good, better than Z-340 by a longshot.
