You might try doing a search (or find? what version of Windows are you using?) for all (*.wvx) files of that type during the previous week (24 hours?) immediately after viewing the clip. These clips are usually stored in the TEMP or Internet Temporary areas, I forget which.
When I am unable to get the right click on viewed files to let me save the file, it is not at all unusual to find it sitting in a temporary directory somewhere. By cutting it from that directory and pasting it to a permanent location, I can keep it handy.
