Aw @#$#, it wont even let me access the files or anything. I just tried reformatting and still no luck. I had so much good stuff on there too =/. Are there programs that can make almost dieing or dead harddrives able to see the data on it? Please help me thanks!

Take the hard drive out.. put it in a zip lock baggy and stick it in the freezer for 2 or 3 hours.

I'm not kidding.. I know that sounds weird, but believe me..several have been able to access their files from a hard drive that had essentially died by freezing the thing.

But, if you are lucky enough to get it to run a little while...how are you gonna backup several gb of data?..

how old is the drive anyway? try the freezer-thing and get all the data you want. then have your drive replaced from the manufacturer/vendor if it still has warranty.
