I think somebody is going to make a mess of money if they sell any of 'em. That's probably a $50 PC w/o the LCD.

I thought it humorous that their "Deluxe" version is powered by a Celeron.

I d/l'd about 7 CD's back a year or so ago when it first hit the market. I wan't impressed. I think their (Lindows) $ is generated because you have to pay to d/l any programs from them. I believe a yearly fee.

I figure they probably cost $50 just on the fact I'm sure they get all their parts in bulk w/ big savings. Probably all PCChips, Biostar, or ECS boards. Generic RAM, etc . . .

This might be a good entry-level box for some people, but for 449? I'd go dell first...for about the same price you'd get a much better PC-with a windows O/S no less (not knockin linux at all-just started learning Mandrake myself-cool stuff)...if you look up the individual hardware components (micro atx board, pc133 sdram, 5400rpm HDD, ect...), you can build your own for less than the price they are asking for this. The LCD does make it seem cheap, but it's a 14" at the listed price (279 base price+170 monitor) ...you can get a 14" LCD for about 20 bucks less (152) INCLUDING delivery.
