i am confused

answer me this....

i recently put together a budget computer

it has a MSI 645E Max series MB, 512 Mb DDR no name Rad, 40 gb hdd, Leadtek Geforce FX 5600 VIVO and a P4 2.4 ghz with a pathetic 133 MHZ fsb (depressing isnt it). a friend of mine bought a better system - 3.06 GHZ p4 with 2 gb ddr ram (dunno what brand) and a 5700U

but why can i run unreal tournament 2003 on full graphics and nead for speed underground of full graphics with no lag (not that im complaining) - and he cant

nah he has the newest drivers and everything - i love giving him crap about it when we do multiplayer

Maybe he has alot of Spyware and stuff on his machine. Maybe he's got a ton of processes running that steals his CPU power. Did he build it himself? It could be a heat issue too.

heat issue was my next guess but i think its his hdd
I had the same prob witha friend to i had to tap in to my piggy bank and build my P4 dual 3.06
but then a week later i found out it was my old 5400 rpm 30 giger
so i bought 2 80gig satas

i dunno about that hard drives and no he doesnt have spyware n everything he is a security freak and he checks his computer with spybot every day . im not sure what his comp runs at but i know mine runs at 30 degrees and below - and about 35 under stress
