OK, I'm getting a laptop soon with 802.11g (54MBPS) wireless networking built in. Now I need to upgrade my trusty old Dlink DI-707 to add the wireless access point.
I've been hunting around and am going to buy the hardware locally, along with the lappy.
Here's my choices:
D-Link AirPlus G 2.4GHz Wireless Router with 4-Port Switch Linksys 2.4GHz Wireless-G Router with 4-Port Switch and Access Point Microsoft 2.4GHz Wireless-G Base Station
I like the features of all of them.
Preference for the Dlink is due to the reliability of my DI-707 and other Dlink routers that I've installed for others.
The Linksys is pretty much there for comparison, as I have had bad luck with their routers in the past (but their network cards ROCK!).
The Microsoft unit really piqued my interest because of the SPI feature for security, along with the automatic updates.
Any thoughts?
