Torn Between Routers

OK, I'm getting a laptop soon with 802.11g (54MBPS) wireless networking built in. Now I need to upgrade my trusty old Dlink DI-707 to add the wireless access point.

I've been hunting around and am going to buy the hardware locally, along with the lappy.

Here's my choices:

D-Link AirPlus G 2.4GHz Wireless Router with 4-Port Switch

Linksys 2.4GHz Wireless-G Router with 4-Port Switch and Access Point

Microsoft 2.4GHz Wireless-G Base Station

I like the features of all of them.

Preference for the Dlink is due to the reliability of my DI-707 and other Dlink routers that I've installed for others.

The Linksys is pretty much there for comparison, as I have had bad luck with their routers in the past (but their network cards ROCK!).

The Microsoft unit really piqued my interest because of the SPI feature for security, along with the automatic updates.

Any thoughts?

edit>> I'm leaning towards the Microsoft, so that's what I voted

I voted for D-Link because of my past experiences. I just setup a D-Link 713P with the built in print server and it works really well. I especially like the printing because the main computer doesn't have to turned on for all computers to print.

The print server would be nice, but I already have a box on my network that does file/print server duties (running Windows 2000 Pro).

After checking out reviews online, I think I'll go with the Microsoft MN-700, which will stand up nicely next to my Motorola Surfboard modem. Easy to setup, and it has settings to let me use the advanced features of MSN Messenger, like video conferencing and file transfers.

Thanks Toddly and those who voted in the poll (all 4 of ya)

The print server function works great for us because the kids can print out from their computers while the main one is off in the dining room. I can now print from this laptop wirelessly without having to turn on the main computer. I keep the machines off when not in use.

I vote for Linksys because they are now owned by Cisco and Cisco is the best tier one product solution in networking gear.

Dlink is ok.. their tech support is shoddy at best.. I have had nothing but problems with their tech support on past issues with their hardware.
