System Restore Trojans

Numerous times a day, for the past 7-8 months, my virus software (PC-Cilin) has been detecting Trojans such as TROJ_MACON_A in my system restore files, such as C:\System Volume Information\_restore{AF400440-B0EC-4A12-BAED-3DD0812FB2A4}\RP587\A0229698.exe.

I get at least 3-4 a day quarantined, and am i right in thinking when i delete the infected files, i am also deleting my restore-points, because when i then try to perform a system restore, there are no points available.

Any knowledge/advice?

Just turn off System Restore altogether and then run your AV. Reboot and then turn System Restore back on.

^ Yeah that'll get rid of the existing ones, but will it stop me getting them alltogether?
