ati 9600xt driver question

Going to install an ati 9600xt next week and downloaded the latest drivers and control panel from the ati site.
Should I use this driver(s) or the ones that come with the card?
First time ati user-thanks for the input.

Use the ati website drivers right off the bat. And make sure you install dx 9 FIRST! Then ATI driver. THen ATI control panel.

So Dx9 then REBOOT
ATI Driver .exe THEN
ATI Control panel app.

Been useing ati's for since the 7500 Radeon. They arent too much diff then Nvidia. Just the control app is seperate install. Thats all. Hope that helps.

Yep. Thats it. U can also DW the full package for system admins. Thats the one I got so if I have to reinstall I still have it. A bit larger dw but worth it to have the full package. By Full I mean it doesnt need to downlaod anything from net again for dx9. Just run this exe. You will see at win update site.
