How should I partiton my new hard drive??

I'm building a new computer with an 160 Gb Western digital Hd and was wondering what would be the best way to partiton it. Thanks for any replies.

i'd say 30-40 NTFS for os and important programs (ie office) and the rest for storage and un important programs Fat32 you mght also take another 20 or so for linux if you want

It all depends on how many programs you use. I have a 25 gig OS partition and 135 gig partion for all my files.
Out of that 25 gig I use only 5, so if you have little than 20 is more then enought, if you have alot then go for 30 and even 40 but that should be it. Everything else should be on the secondary partion, including your swapfile.
You might also want to make more then 2 partions to organize even more.
