Partition problems

Hi people

In the process of trying to install windows XP on a system with millenium installed, I've been trying different things with acronis partition expert.
I have 3 hard drives and at one point I had somehow divided one of my drives into 5 seperate partitions.
I then tried merging them into one partition, although this worked, the drive is showing as being empty now.
No formatting has taken place.
Is there an easy way to put it back to it's original state so that I can access all the folders/files on the disk.
I've started using a data recovery program, but it will take 12 hours to scan the drive(130GB).

cheers

Waigy

Leave the program overnight and be sure not to access the drive in any way. Make sure the files are restored to a different drive.

Theres no guarantee that all the files are gonna be OK but its worth a shot.

If you do get it back..... (hopefully but don't be suprised that you don't)

I would recommend to back up the file you need to CD-R or DVD (or however you can)...

Install Windows XP fresh.. and not overtop of Windows ME.
