Flashing Compaq Motherboards?

I noticed that the BIOS that comes with Compaqs have no overclocking options. I think I heard that there's a third-party BIOS available for the K7S5A that you can use so to open up options for overclocking. Is there something like this available for Compaq motherboards?

I would suggest looking around google as well for info about it, if you can get away with switching to a normal bios, looks like ami is the original one, then it would be nice, however it doesn't quite always work especially if you have a propriatary motherboard that is differen't from the retail board.

you need to do some research. look at the motherboard and see if you can find out who made it.
I have flashed a compaq to a non compac bios. even after the flash not all options would work, but it did fix the problem it was having.

Thanks for the replies. As soon as I can get hard drives for them, I'll run AIDA32 or something to find out what mobo they are.
