Audigy 2 ZS Platinum /w Gigabyte GA-7VT600 1394

the audigy 2 will not show up on the mother board.. anyone know why? there is onboard audio with the motherboard.. do i need to change some settings?

Have you gone into the BIOS and disabled the on-board audio?

Yes, but there are usually more then one setting for the on-board audio.

Edit, I just looked at your boards manual and there is only the one setting for the on-board sound.
If that is disabled I would uninstall any drivers for the on-board sound.
