XP Login issue
I have one Server 2003 server and several other PCs. On one that uses XP, I am getting a problem logging in. When I try to login to the domain using a userId that exists on the domain, I get an error saying the domain controller is unavailable or not accessible. However, if I use the wrong password intentionally it knows the password is wrong. So, it must be connecting.
I can login to the local PC as Administrator and connect to the server using the ID that it originally denied.
If I disable the DHCP Client service, it will allow me to login but it also changes the IP to 0.0.0.0.0 . So, I can get around this by logining in as Admin, disabling DHCP Client service, logging out, logging in as the User, changing DHCP Client back again but it is a hassle.
Any ideas?
I was thinking it was confused that the workstation was the Master Browser, but I disabled it as master browser and the behaviour continued.
