What DVD-ROM to get?

Hi, I have this list here:

Liteon,plextor and pioneer make real decent products ... it really doesnt matter what brand you pick up honestly... just make sure that it suits your needs before you go shelling out the cash.

budget-wise, i recommend a Liteon DVDROM.

Thanks for the replies, I would get a liteon but can't find any 165 or older models and 166 is not that good

Anyone knows what warranty pioneer gives for their dvd-roms?

Usually 1 year warranty. My Pioneer SuperDrive has a 1 year limted warranty on it.

I bought a Lite-on 411s at CC after xmas, it was $70 after rebate.
I've been dealing with Meritline to try and get DVD-R blanks. First set manufactured by HQ - created 2 coasters so I sent them back and are getting Ritek in return (trying to back up my kids DVD's). I will let you know my success rate.
