You need one of these Logitech MX Duo keyboards, then you can asighn different functions to the 'F' keys.
Hmm, on second thought, thats another feature I never use.

I F0rgot those little buggers were even there! I use the "F4" button often for closing windows. the F5 key is for refreshing a web page...but I'd like to assign my F9-F12 buttons for such tasks as Gaim, UD, run an AV scan, etc.
I, like you, don't know how to configure them...I'll be checking back to see if anyone knows!

Ive got a Logitech cordless---all the F keys have special functions assigned w/images on them for mail- fwd/reverse/pause my computer-docs-pics-music etc, I guess I should start by finding the F-ing manual eh?
I know different combos do different things within Windows and certain programs as well---just unsure what does what?

I for one, like the F-keys and hate the new MS and Logitech approach, assigning the Fkeys to a specific function, and having to press the F-lock button if I want to use them. It gets annoying when you press F1 in a game, and you get Microsoft Word popping up, asking me which file I want to open :\.

Also, I find the F-Keys useless because when I go into bios, I have 2 seconds to hit f-lock, and f1, and its really annoying (as opposed to spamming F1 until the computer gets the message ).

I also know most of the windows keyboard shortcuts (involving, or not involving the F-Keys), so I dont really see a need why I need to reassings these FKeys to something I can do with contrl + ____.

Just my 2 Cents.

I got a Logitech keyboard that defaults to the stupid "special" keys every time I reboot. If I want to use the normal F keys I have to enable them by turning the F key on.

Needless to say I'll be looking for a different model when I go for a wireless keyboard. Anyone know what the Belkin wireless keyboards are like? Pretty cheap ATM.

Cheers
Mick
