hacking aim

is there any way to hack AIM so you can change which file it looks for as your info? like instead of it looking at c:\path\info.htm it looks for c:\path\info.php??

i was thinking maybe you could use an .htaccess file to change it but im not real sure how aim accesses the info.htm so i dunno if that would work. i have ResHack if that helps.

skyline guy: thanks that helped a lot. actually ive tried trillian and im sure its great for some people but i personally think it sucks.

Gomer: well i want to uses a php file for my info instead of an html file so i dont have to have people click a link in my profile to see this php page i have made so it is displayed initially on viewing the info.

"IMO" i think aIm sux.... a lot of people know this.

and also.. this forum is not only for LINUX pros... theres many people who know nothing about linux and talk all day long about WINdows errors

sure ill be glad to. when replying to a thread, on this site anyway, you are asked to keep replies relative to the topic. if you think aim sucks thats fine. i really dont care. the point is your opinion of aim or what is better than aim has absolutley nothing to do with what i was asking therefor it is an off-topic reply. now im not a mod so you dont have to listen to me, but i as well as many others here have been warned before about this type of behavior so im just telling you what the mods dont want in here.






back to my question, i checked all the .exe's and all the .dll's in the aim folder with reshack and couldnt find "info.htm" anywhere. granted i might have missed it bc there was A LOT to look at but i didnt see it. anybody have any other ideas?

well, i take everything i said earlier back. I'm admit that i didnt know there was that specific rule to follow (didnt even see the rules) other than the (no *badwords*) but yes..... i'll leave u guys alone
