Weird excel prob.

Here's the scenario

We share Excel files in office on a peer to peer network. We use Office XP on all the machines.

On two Win2k pc's whenever I open almost any files from the server it gives this message:

"cannot use object linking and embedding"

If i copy the file from the server to the local hard drive it opens.

The same files opens fine from other PC's on the network.

The specs for the two Win2k PC's are

233MMX 10GB 64M
PII 500 8GB 128MB

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there anything in the document that links to another spreadsheet file, or another word document.. maybe some images orsomething?

Do the 2k machines have any different drive mappings than the others?
