Wire management HELP!

I'm looking to make the inside of my case neater by tidying up the wires a bit. I was looking around Case-Mod a bit and came across their Wire Care products.

I'm familiar with heatshrink, but I don't know how looms and sleevings work exactly. I'm sure there's a more complicated answer than "you wrap them around your wires." What does "split loom" mean? 1/2 and 1/4 pertains to what about the loom (circumfurence, length)? Can I just buy the sleevings on their own, or do I need to buy the kit?

Split loom is just that. It is cut down the length of the tubbing and you just stuff your wires into it. the 1/2 or 1/4 is the diameter of the looming.

I would use the sleeving stuff (snake skin) it is the most involved but looks the best in the end. Using that stuff you will probably have to take off your connectors but you can use normal zip ties on the ends.

you can also just get a sleeving kit like f1oored stated, the stuff stretches so you can get it over the cords (and connectors most of the time) then it shrinks right around the cords, minimizing extra space within the sleeve. Thats what i am currently doing with my case ATM, pics will come eventually

Thanks for the responses. I looked a bit more and I think I'm gonna go with the Vantec sleeving kit available on Case-Mod.

If there's one thing that I've noticed with sleeving kits, its the fact that people generally have problems sleeving the wires running to the ATX connector because the connector can't be removed like molex connectors can. Just a little heads up.

I guess if I find that I can't fit the sleeving on top of the ATX connector I'll go with a split loom. I really don't like how split looms look, though....
