I just got a 3 Year Technical Assistence Program (TAP) CompUSA Warrentee at extra co$t.
Suppposedly the Laptop can be walked in to any ComPUSA in the States--and fixed without cost. For three years.
Anybody have their warrentee --or knows someone who did?
Is it any good: timely repairs with short turn-around time by Techs who know what they are doing ?
DOOG made the plunge. And wants to know.

Usually I wouldn't touch any extra-cost "extended service warrentee. especially when it cmes to electronics--where there is either "infantile failure", or it lasts.
They are over priced, the reairs use old part that have depreciated in value over time, and a 3 Yr time period overlaps the one year of the Manufactures Warrentee.
There is a saying, "Insure the big stuff."
But I figured a Laptop Computer is diffrent, because it cannot often be self-fixed, parts to the end-user are expensive--or unavailable.
