The most ghetto...

This could possibly be the most ghetto mod this forum has ever seen. It's not really a mod, just a quick fix for my mom. I've been a silent modder for a while, but I'm going to start posting more often, I've currently got 3 projects going. Anyway, a little background, i'm 17, I was packing to go to las vegas when my mom yells at me and tells me the computer shut down. I run in to look at it and turn it on, it tells me the fan isn't working, I quickly pull the case apart and rip the fan out, COVERED in dirt, thick, burned out... So seeing as i have an hour to finish packing and fix this computer, i fly up to my room and grab three fans out of my computer...and attached it what i've done with it. I'm going to get some webspace, but i dunno where yet, opinions would be nice. Thanks.


....so without ruining the picture, I'll just close this post by saying... Paper clips work wonders

You should probably turn the fan around. You want to blow air onto the heatsink, not pull the air away from it. Other than that, it seems to be a nice temporary fix for a broken hsf. I've used PCI brackets to mount fans inside the case and they usually work very well.

Not so bad in a pinch, good on the fly remedy---sure shows you have a "thinking mind"---im also sure you are thinking of a proper fix when time permits...
