Are you overclocking at all? Ti 4200's OC well, but I believe that is what's causing my card to display weird stuff that look like a cloud of buzzing flies in a couple games.

My first thought was your proc-a Duron is very old and Quake III is very CPU-dependent. But I had a 466 Celeron and a PCI GeForce2 MX 400 running Counter-Strike with a solid 60fps, but that is a different game.

Anyone hear run Q3 with a proc like this?

Do you have the latest AGP and chipset drivers for your mobo?

I ran Quake 3 on a Duron 750 with a TNT2 M64 and also a Geforce 2 Ti and they both ran fine.

Try another OpenGL based game or demo, see what your other options are in the OpenGL tab.

Has it allways done this or only since a driver update for your GF card?
